Every year something special happens in South Africa. There is…
The Wedding expo is usually held in Johannesburg and this year the Expo will also be taking place in Cape Town, South Africa on the 3rd and 4th of October.
And guess what? The good people at South African Tourism have invited us over to experience this one of a kind event!
Here are 7 reasons why we are going to The Wedding Expo in South Africa;
1. Inspiration Expedition
At Kenya Weddings we are all about inspiration. It is our fuel. And with over 100 luxury bridal companies at The Wedding Expo in South Africa, we are guaranteed to find wedding inspiration in hoards. From intricate décor trends, unique flower arrangements, cake designs and wedding dresses that will make your heart sing!

2. It’s Showtime!
South Africa has some of the world’s renowned fashion designers and their work will be on display at the fashion show during The Wedding Expo in South Africa. It is one thing to see these extraordinary designs online or on mannequins but at the expo, we get to watch these exquisite wedding dress, bridesmaids and groomsmen designs come to life as models strut the runway.
3. Beauty and the Bride
Cape Town is a magical destination. It promises a landscape that is so diverse and breath-taking. Take for example the magnificent Table Mountain which sits by the Atlantic Ocean. And then there is the modern cityscape that will challenge any preconceived notions you have about Africa. We will be in Cape Town for the bridal inspiration and we definitely take the opportunity to explore the beauty that this city offers.

4. Trend Alert
You look away for a minute and what you thought was the latest wedding trend has been overtaken by time. The centrepieces that you once thought were outstanding now look like they are from a different era. We would like you to be up to speed with the hottest trends in the wedding industry and what better place to find these trends than at the Wedding Expo in South Africa? We promise to be your eyes and ears on the ground.
5. Shop Till We Drop
Our first entry point into South Africa will be the city of Johannesburg and while we are there we will attend the Joburg Shopping Festival which takes place from the 24th September to 3rd October. There will be amazing deals at 4 of the best shopping centres in Johannesburg as well as a chance to win from over R1 million in prizes!

6. The Ultimate Honeymoon Destination
South Africa has long been flaunted as the ultimate honeymoon destination. With striking landscape, glitzy cityscapes, an unmatched shopping destination and unique experiences for thrill-seekers. And so we intend to find out whether this claims are indeed true. We will return armed with photos, first-hand experiences as well as honeymoon advice from travel agents at the expo. Remember to follow us on Instagram and Twitter so you don’t miss any of our selfies while in South Africa
