DIY weddings have been slowly gaining in popularity in Kenyan…
I hope it will get your wheels turning and inspire you to come up with more creative and affordable centrepiece ideas for your own wedding.
And without further ado, here are some ideas you will absolutely love.
Wine Bottle Centrepieces

If you have a stock of wine bottles in the house, then you will love this one. First of all you get most of them for free and all you need is the value adds. For this project, we used gold spray paint and added burlap, lace and twine. Feel free to go all out and try something more adventurous or use similar materials; either way it’s cool.
Garden Planters Centrepieces

This is another very simple one that I loved doing. For this you need garden planters, paint and flowers. You can get these at any supermarket, from the hardware and garden section. Something to note is they have holes at the bottom so before using fresh flowers make sure you use an oasis on the inside.
Giant Paper Flower Centrepieces

If you love colour and paper, this one is for you. Giant paper flowers don't always have to be on a wall they make fantastic centrepieces as well. For this it's about the angle in which the flower sits, they cannot be facing up but sideways. This way your guests get to see how beautiful they are. Watch out for a tutorial on how to create paper flowers.
Mason Jar Centrepieces

I am starting to believe mason jars were created for this. Out of all the uses I can think of, wedding centrepieces are at the top of my list. It doesn't even need much creativity all you need is flowers and you're good to go but if you want to jazz it up you can. I added a paper pinwheel on the side for extra cuteness.
I hope you now feel inspired to add a bit of diy to your wedding :) Until next time!
