Fresh flowers cake toppers have recently grown in popularity. Not…
If you are considering using fresh flowers for your wedding cake here are 5 different ways to do it;
Cascading Flowers

Looking to really make a statement? Then consider decorating your cake with flowers tumbling down from the top. Use lots of flowers to create a striking look. Again you could go for just one colour or an interesting mix of flowers. The rest of the cake should be white so it doesn’t look too busy.
Layer Divider

Another option is to have the flowers placed between each tier of your cake. Depending on your preference you could use flowers of one type and colour. If you have a mix of flowers and colours consider having the rest of the cake in all white or nude to avoid a look that overwhelms the eye. You get some additional height on your cake without having to add the number of tiers. Plus the flowers don’t get in to much contact with the cake; making it easier for you to serve the cake.
Top of the cake

Your fresh flowers will also look pretty sitting at the very top of the cake. This is especially a great idea if you want to show off the rest of the cake design. Plus it’s easy to serve the cake since all you have to remove are the flowers at the top.
A few accents

If you would prefer a more subtle approach, then have a few clusters of flowers on different parts of the cake. With minimal flowers, it will be easy to remove them when you want to serve the cake.
Nude Cakes

Nude cakes portray a fresh and natural look and so they are complemented perfectly by fresh flower or fruit decorations. So if you are planning to have a nude wedding cake then consider any of the above fresh flower arrangements to decorate your cake.
